has a long-standing experience, predominantly in the field of solid-state investigations with special focus on pharmaceutical ingredients.Our prime goal in the role of a university spin-off in modern laboratories in the technology center at the Bochum University Campus is to provide cross-linked analytical expertise. We apply numerous spectroscopic and diffraction methods, thermo chemistry and (thermo) microscopy, humidity and water determinations and ‘stress’-storage. Several crystallization methods (rational design, ‘high throughput’) are used to detect and investigate polymorphs, co-crystals, salts and solvates. They are preferentially targeted at patent issues or expert opinions at patent infringements and claim settlements.

A team of enthusiastic and experienced coworkers as well as collaborating colleagues is able to face the ambitious challenges of special and complex problems. All confidential information and results of our investigations can be treated under strict confidence, something which is mostly difficult at Universities. The two executive officers are independent and are not obliged to publish results. Possible inventions can be transferred without limitations.

We can accurately identify and, even more important, quantify drug ingredients and additives in drug products. It is likewise important to precisely determine the excipients in their solid state forms using on our own samples and analytical data, comparing them with a vast number of polymorphs and pseudopolymorphs, using combined analytical methods and strategies.
